Tom Williams & The Boat – “Get Worse” {Garage Rock}

This tune is off Tom Williams & The Boat’s brand new release called Yearbook, which features a collection of unreleased demos and songs from their Young Blood sessions. Yearbook isn’t being released until December 3rd, but you can pre-order it here.

Lusine – “Another Tomorrow” {Electronic/Dance}

Seattle’s Lusine just revealed the first single off their forthcoming album The Waiting Room, which is being released in February via Ghostly. The group was founded by the Seattle-based producer Jeff McIlwain, and the track features a guest spot from vocalist Caitlin Sherman.

Widowspeak – “Ballad of the Golden Hour” {Alternative Rock/Alt-Country} + Free download

With dreamy female vocals, and psych folk/alt-country vibes, it’s easy to see why everyone’s going shit-hole crazy about this brand new Widowspeak track. The single is off the group’s second album Almanac, which is being released on January 22nd via Captured Tracks.

Tiger High – “Be the Indian” {Psych Rock} + Free download

Memphis’ Tiger High came out of nowhere for us, but we were pleasantly surprised after hearing this brand new track off their recent Catacombs After Party album. The album was just released on November 13th via Trashy Creature Records, and you can purchase it for $8 here.

HAIM – “Send Me Down” {Experimental Pop}

HAIM is a trio of L.A. sisters who have been making the rounds in the indie music scene as of late thanks to a string of successful 7″ singles and EPs. Still no word as to whether this track will be included on an upcoming release, but we’ll take what we can get at this point.

Fort Lean – “The Mall” {Pop/Rock}

This single is off the Brooklyn-based group’s brand new Change Your Name EP which was just released on Tuesday. The EP was produced by Patrick Wimberly of Chairlift, and you can purchase it for as little as $4 via their Bandcamp page.

Jim James – “Know ‘Til Now” {Alternative Rock} + Free download

In case you haven’t already heard, My Morning Jacket’s frontman Jim James has gone solo, and the result is nothing short of magnificent. This is the first single off his solo album (Regions of Light and Sound of God) which is being released on February 5th.

Ra Ra Riot – “Beta Love” {Indie Pop} + Free download

Even though the band technically still doesn’t have a drummer and bassist Mathieu Santos just released a solo LP, this new Ra Ra Riot track is proof that there’s still more to come from the band yet. The single is off the group’s forthcoming album of the same title, which is being released in January via Arts & Crafts.

Veronica Falls – “Teenage” {Pop/Rock}

After a successful 2011, London’s Veronica Falls are back with a brand new album (Waiting For Something to Happen) which is being released on February 4th via Slumberland/Bella Union. The band is also planning a covers EP and are currently taking fan cover requests via their Facebook page.

Trent Reznor – “Call of Duty: Black Ops II Theme” {Electronic/Instrumental}

Regardless of whether Nine Inch Nails are kaput or not, Trent Reznor obviously can’t stop releasing music; (not that we’re complaining or anything). This single was recorded for the new Call of Duty: Black Ops II video game, and the game’s soundtrack will feature more than 40 different tracks (this one included).
