del-Toros – “Silverdust 78″ + “Troublemaker” {Rockabilly/Surf Rock}

October 29, 2012 in Garage Rock, independent bands, Rock, Rockabilly by Rex

Based out of the small town of Alkmaar in Holland, this independent Dutch band proves that there is more to their hometown than its famous cheese market.

The trio consists of Guido on guitar/vocals, Sicco on bass/ vocals, and Tony on drums, and their sound has been compared to everyone from Dick Dale and Motörhead, to The Clash and Monster Magnet thanks to an eclectic mix of the surf rock, rockabilly and garage rock genres.

Their self-titled EP, which was co-produced by Theo de Jongthe (AKA the drummer of the famous Dutch surf rock band The Shavers) received rave reviews in various major Dutch publications, and the group was also recently featured on a GaragePunk Hideout compilation this past June.

The band is prepping for the release of their forthcoming album, which was recorded with Peter van Elderen (the guitarist of Peter Pan Speedrock) and Theo Van Rock (Henry Rollins, Ween, Urban Dance Squad).

In the mean time, be sure to head on over to their Facebook page and give them some “Like” love.
