Alright, Check it Out (2012)

This independent Irish group has been building up a massive following in Ireland thanks to a string of successful singles and EPs, but after listening to their new debut album we’re certain that it will only be a matter of time before their popularity starts to drifts overseas.

The 11-track album (appropriately titled Alright, Check it Out) was just released on September 14th and was recorded with the Canadian producer David Newfeld (who previously worked with the likes of Broken Social Scene, Los Campesinos, Super Furry Animals and We Are Augustines).

One of their new tracks (“The Pros and Cons of Cowardice”) also helped the five-piece earn a nomination as finalists in the RTE RAAP Breakthrough Bursary program which was founded to help support up and coming talents in Ireland.

You can purchase Alright, Check it Out via their Bandcamp page for as little as €7, and the album is also available in both vinyl (€15) and CD (€10) formats.

The band is currently prepping for a tour around Ireland in November and December, and they also plan on touring around the UK and mainland Europe early next year.
