Stella – “Omega” + “The Man With the Chainsaw Leg” {Experimental Rock/Punk} + Free downloads

RMD would like to introduce Stella, a three-piece Columbus-based band who have a collective hatred for boredom and a love for flowers, hugs…and performing music inside of U-Hauls.

The line-up consists of Kevin “Dronelard” Hall, Charlie Manson and Lauri “Don’t Call Me DJ Teacup” Reponen, and they describe their sound as everything from “noisy, stoner punk music” to “loser metal.” They also claim their sound is influenced by their surroundings, art, and as a way to protest the boredom they experience while growing up in Columbus, Ohio as well as the “academic hell” that is The Ohio State University. They also claim to be uncomfortable talking about themselves due to their upbringing, and to overcompensate they post “elaborate fake stories” on their Facebook page (like how their artist influences include “whomever we can suck off the most in order to not be neglected in our hometown,” perhaps?)

The trio just dropped a new EP titled Vapid Rubs which is available as a free download via their Bandcamp page or as a name-your-price download. You can check out the tracks off the new EP here, but be sure to give the band some “like” love on Facebook here while you’re at it as well.
